Project Overview

Probus is a distinguished insurance-selling organization operating primarily in the business-to-business sector. It facilitates partnerships with the point-of-sale persons (POSP). The company wanted to upgrade its existing platform to elevate the overall user experience by consolidating all documentation, examination processes, and mandatory training modules into a single, user-friendly platform.

Problem Statement

Probus wanted us to redesign their existing website to improve the overall user experience, increase the number of people signing up to be POSp and simplify the entire journey for POSps.

Objectives

  • Enhance the conversion rate on the Probus website.
  • Increase user engagement to 15 minutes per session.
  • Streamline the entire onboarding journey for POSPs, from their registration to becoming certified POSPs.
  • Establish a unified platform that consolidates all tasks related to documentation, examination processes, and mandatory training modules.

Our Process

To ensure that the project flows smoothly towards completion, we follow the STEP process which is acronymous to Soak, Think, Execute, and Proof.

Process We Followed

The project was divided into three phases, UX Research, UX designing, and UI design. We identified the competitors and recognized ways to position the product.

Research

A thorough competitive analysis was conducted to identify the gaps in the user journey. Based on the UX research, user personas were created.

UX Designing

Task flows & sitemaps were redesigned to gain higher usability. Based on them, wireframes were created.

UI Designing

UI mood board and UI options were created to set the theme of the entire application. After client approval, a design system was created along with the UI screens for the web & mobile app.

Research

Personas

With the data & takeaways we received from the user research, user personas and use cases were created.

Competitor Analysis

A comprehensive competitive analysis helped us find the gaps in the user journey. We also identified which features can be included in the application.

UX Designing

Problems

  • Lower conversion rates

Multiple factors, such as poor navigation, confusing UI, and unclear benefits, made them consider other options.

  • Poor trust in the brand

The users had average trust in the brand, with only 50% of all users expressing confidence in Probus, which was majorly due to the absence of a review section.

  • Poor discoverability of the website

Probus had limited online visibility, with only 30% of POSPs discovering the brand online.

  • Post-onboarding issues.

A notable number of POSPs encountered significant challenges after onboarding, including less integrated companies, issues with KYC, insufficient policy information, challenging training, and test routes, and difficulties in generating OTP during payment.

Solutions

  • We highlighted benefits such as improved commission structure, superior product offerings, comprehensive support and training, and technological advancements through compelling content on the homepage.

  • We incorporated an impactful testimonial section featuring video testimonials and regular updates to enhance the trust and credibility factor.

  • We introduced SEO-friendly sections such as the blog to enhance the discoverability of the website.

  • We showcased existing partnerships with relevant materials and policy details, made the KYC process easy and intuitive, solved technical issues with a fully responsive website.

Task Flow

Inferences from UX research & user personas led us to create intuitive user task flows. We organized the information structure to improve navigation and make the user experience more enjoyable.

Site Map

The Sitemap was redesigned to improve the usability of the application.

UI Screens

The UI design brought our ideas to life. Our designers selected UI elements like typography and a design system that aligns with the research and UX recommendations. Another thing we kept in mind was compliance with the brand identity.
