The case study illustrates how Yellow Slice helped OK Done with the UI and UX design of their office productivity app based on the concept of instant messaging.
OK Done is an office productivity app based on the concept of instant messaging. Using the app, users can assign tasks, organize events, and even conduct and manage virtual meetings. It allows its users to easily view, track, and execute tasks and meetings online using their smartphones.
OK Done wanted us to design and integrate the experience to create an enhanced experience for its users with UI UX interventions.
The app used instant messaging as its base concept. However, it was different from the popular IM apps in a way that it offered tools to link messages to their required actions. To understand the project, we first needed to understand how a potential user would interact with the app and what they expect from it. .

To start off the project, we first created the user persona to identify who the potential users are and what their pains and goals were while using the application. Based on that, we then created the task flow that replicated how users may use the app.
With the task flow simplified, it was time to create the wireframes for the application.
We used Skeuomorphic designs to give a modern, highly interactive look. Colors and typeface were selected in a way that complemented the design and gave a stylish yet professional look to the interface.
Using the elements chosen and designed earlier, our team came up with the following designs for the UI screens of the app.
The app uses a minimalistic, yet sophisticated interface that keeps the workspace clean and legible for the user. Easier navigation through different modules ensures higher user engagement and better on-app productivity.
