Medico Health App Redesign - UX/UI Improvements

Meditech has not gained momentum like fintech, but there’s potential for growth. There are still many contributions that can be made to develop the ecosystem. Medico, a design solution by Yellow Slice, offers an integrated healthcare app for easy access to consultations and medications.

Problem Statement

Medical care is one of man’s basic needs, yet it can be one of the most challenging things to access, especially for those in rural areas. An article by Business Standard revealed that only 25% of people living in rural areas have access to medical care, which is relatively low.

Some of the problems include:

• Difficulty in accessing medical care
• Lack of awareness about diseases and the latest medical technology
• There is no collaboration between big and small healthcare centres
• Liaising with pharmaceuticals to make medications readily available is challenging
• Competitions among emerging telehealth brands

Solutions

The solutions were borne out of market research conducted by our UX designers, who proposed the following with their designs.

• A design that provides healthcare services with mobile devices
• Features for one-on-one appointments with doctors
• Collaborating with pharmacies nearby to provide medication easily
• Electronic Medical records for every user
• Awareness about Tele health among people living in rural areas

• To reduce the queues and stress at hospitals by half
• Create a network of medical health professionals that are easily reachable than traditional hospitals in India
