Bringing Structure to a Scattered Fitness Landscape
Creating a One-Stop Destination for Science-Based Fitness
They wanted us to create an app and a website that serve as a one-stop destination for fitness and health. The aim is to educate users about the science, applications, and trends of various health & fitness concepts.
The Method Behind magic
Our Strategic Design
We have developed a process that has worked well for huge brands. The process is called STEP, which stands for Soak, Think, Execute, and Proof. First, we immerse ourselves in the problem that needs to be solved, then think over it and execute it with full power, eventually proving that our solutions work.

Decoding the Ecosystem
A 360° View
We did a thorough competitive analysis of 7 fitness platforms to identify strategic positioning for Fitpage.
Core problems
- Fitness enthusiasts had to juggle between different apps for different use cases. This created a disconnected fitness ecosystem with no unified view of their activity and progress.
- Users who were new to their fitness journey had no idea about their present fitness level, so they were clueless about where to go from there.
- Users who find it hard to remain consistent with their workouts tend to drop off from the app. Sometimes, jargon-heavy content and overwhelming onboarding flows assume prior fitness knowledge.
Key Opportunities
- Fitpage lets you integrate with third-party apps like Strava, Google Fit, and Garmin Connect. This makes it easy for users to pull your data and use Fitpage as a central hub to monitor their entire fitness journey on one platform.
- Fitpage introduced the Fit 500 Test, which is a fitness assessment that gives users a score based on the information they provide. This score helps users further to pick the right plan for them from day one.
- Our UX writing team wrote motivating UX copy throughout the app to encourage people on their fitness journey. It further increased user retention on the app, turning routine interactions like notifications and progress prompts into moments of small wins.
Our Solution
User-Centric Features
Users create a personal profile, which gives them a personalised experience on the platform. This serves as a foundation for providing science-based workout plans that are recommended based on individual user needs and fitness levels.
Content & Education Tools
The explore module has a section that has content for educating users, directly curated by health experts at Fitpage. From workout science to nutrition insights, the platform makes education a core part of the fitness journey that they don’t have to seek out of this platform.
Taking fitness off the screen into the real world
The platform also supported real-world fitness events like the Goa River Marathon, bridging the gap between digital fitness guidance and on-ground participation.

Form Meets Function
Designing Engaging Interfaces
UI screens were created for 12 modules, including Profile, Onboarding, Plan Preview, Explore, Notifications, Calculator, Full Activity Flow, and more. A black first palette with blue and red gradient accents makes the CTAs and buttons pop. A white font is usually used against a dark background, and curved call-to-action buttons give the platform an approachable feel.
