Overview

JITO World, a platform by Jain International Trade Organisation, aimed to unify its vast community of members, businesses, and verticals under one digital roof. The idea behind this project was to create a website to do just that.

Creating Uniformity in Fragmented Navigation & Content

The platform faced several challenges such as users were overwhelmed by disjointed navigation and scattered content. Key services like event registration, business networking, and membership management were fragmented or unintuitive. First-time users lacked a personalized onboarding experience, leading to drop-offs.

Our Strategic Design

Using the STEP (Soak, Think, Execute, Proof) process, we grounded JITO’s experience in real member behaviour to simplify discovery across events, networking, and verticals. Contextual cues and smart nudges guided users toward relevant features and connections at the right moments. Iterative testing ensured that engagement and AI-led enhancements added value without compromising usability, trust, or accessibility.

Decoding the Ecosystem

A 360° View

We started by conducting user interviews and frequent meetings with subject-matter experts to gather information that helped us form user personas and a typical user journey map. After using it for more than a month and reviewing it, we identified usability gaps that impact content discovery and reading journeys.

Complex & Overwhelming Navigation

The app presents too much information upfront without clear hierarchy or prioritization, making it difficult for users to find relevant content.

Lack of Personalization & User-Centric Experience

The app does not adapt to individual users based on their role, preferences, or past interactions.

Low Engagement & Interaction Opportunities

Features like event participation, networking, and referrals are not well-highlighted, leading to low user engagement (5%).

Unclear Call-to-Actions & Content Structuring

Key actions (e.g., Join an Event, Connect with a Member) are not clearly visible or intuitive.

Poor Accessibility & UI Optimization

Small fonts, low contrast, and inconsistent spacing reduce readability and usability.

  • Multiple logins and disconnected data across JITO verticals created friction, duplication, and trust issues.
  • Lack of smart guidance made discovery, decision-making, and engagement feel effortful.

  • Unify the ecosystem with a single JITO ID and role-based access to streamline journeys and improve security across verticals.

Architecting Experience

From Insights to Frameworks

We built a unified platform to drive member engagement, event participation, and community growth. By bringing JITO’s verticals like JBN and JITO Jobs into one experience, we made it easier for users to connect, collaborate, and grow within the Jain network.

Task-Oriented Navigation

Members can access JITO’s features: events, donations, and updates, through a simplified menu. Improved architecture reduces cognitive load, while suggestions and customisation surface relevant actions, helping users get to what matters.

Integrated Search

We introduced an intent-aware search experience that understands natural language queries and surfaces contextually relevant results. Predictive suggestions help users find what they’re looking for faster, improving accuracy and reducing effort during discovery.

Key Enhancements in Event Management

We streamlined event management by introducing clearer categorisation, easy cloning for recurring sessions, and built-in RSVP and attendance tracking. Features like donor passes, seat allocation, and VIP access simplify payments and entry. 

Form Meets Function

Designing Engaging Interfaces

We introduced activity-based rewards and points, along with privilege access and redeemable benefits across JITO’s verticals, to make participation feel rewarding. Social status tied to in-app activity motivates members to return and engage more frequently, turning everyday interactions into a meaningful, gamified experience.
